Yeparoo is a video app for children that parents set up and manage. This page explains what we store, why, and how to have it deleted. Questions go to hello@yeparoo.app.

What we store about parents

What we store about children

Children do not have accounts and never give us information themselves. A parent enters:

As your child uses Yeparoo, we store which videos from your approved channels they watched, for how long and on which day, plus their favourites, saved videos, channel requests and the order of their channels. Parents in the family can see this history.

What we store about iPads

The iPad's name, the app version, when it last connected, and whether protection is working on it.

What we do not do

YouTube

Videos play in YouTube's own embedded player, and Yeparoo uses YouTube API Services to find channels and list their videos. When a video plays, YouTube (Google) may collect information under its own policies: the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. When you search for a channel, we send YouTube the words or link you entered, not who you are.

Who helps us run Yeparoo

Your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, in the places these providers operate.

How long we keep it

Sign-in codes stop working after 5 minutes. Everything else is kept while your family uses Yeparoo. When you ask us to delete your family, we delete your family, your children's profiles and their history within 30 days.

Your choices

You can see and change your children's details at any time in the parent app. To get a copy of your information, correct it or delete it, email hello@yeparoo.app from the address you sign in with.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
